Anybody know where 2 or 3 fellows can hunt hogs, for free, in Georgia? Somebody's got to have some land that has hogs that need killing.

If you can get to Savannah I'll be happy to carry you out to where I been killing them. Its a 35 min boat ride to the island. The biggest ive killed is 170lb. Most have been under 15 feet. I walk n stalk finding them with my ears. Some have been found in the open marsh where they eat oysters. I could take two as the only boat running right now is whaler 13 which is capable of more but fills up quick w/hog and gear.
Another place is Ft stewart. They have a Game office that they can dirrect you to where the tanks aint playing.

Thanks Seaweaver!
A trip to Savannah is do-able. Thank you for the invite. I have a friend that wants to hog hunt bad, but is short on funds. I will contact him and set up a time for the trip. We are in Atlanta and must find enought time off from work. As soon as I figure something out, I will post you. Thanks again, Dave.

density1,
Better hurry, today the local paper just ran a article about the abundance of hogs. I hate to see what could come as a result. Fundage needent be a proble unless there are bills at home. We can overnight on the hill. Beer, steak and gas(petrol), bullets and we're done.

Hello Seaweaver,
I have a friend from Illinois. He want's to hunt here in Georgia. He needs an out of state license. So he's got to get some money together for that and some gear. We were looking for a March time frame to meet you and hunt. Is this OK? If so, what kind of gear would we need for the island?

March March March
Lets see..
1st week end .. Boy's trip to Misquito Lagoon for Red Fish
2nd Looks open
3rd St. Patricks Regatta
4th looks open
I've got Basicly all you need if you want to stay on the hill. Tent, propane stove, guns, ect.
As the weather gets warmer the gnats come out and if you're not use to them.. well .. they run most of our yankee friends out! Most any B.spray will work and we've plenty of options to work aginst the wind. Calf boots are a must as there are lots of water catches that the hogs root in and when the tide comes in alot of the flats flood. A cooler to get the meat home. Meat Paper.Sleeping bags, Steaks ect.
I got my 17' mako running great so there will be more room. It's also a darn shame to go out in a boat w/ no poles. There isn't much moving right now but it never hurt to throw out some stinky bait at night. I got a hand truck for getin the hogs out.
Basicly think light.

Hi, looks like the 4th week would be the best. Question: would a weekend be best for you or some days in the middle of the week itself be good?
