Will dumping the round balls out of the mold into water hurt them for use in a cap and ball revolver. Thanks Kurt

I wouldn't do it. Water dropping doesn't do a thing to pure lead and it will harden wheelweight metal more than you want.

Probably not pure lead, and water quencing will harden them as stated by Jack. No so much that the revolver couldn't shoot them, but a hard ball isn't going to let you load the cylinder without a devil of a fight.

Just cast them and let them fall on a folded towel (get closer, don't let them drop too far). Once it crowded in the impact zone, lift one edge of the towl and roll the ones in the way to the side.
