Tried a new way of lead removal lastnight that worked right snappy. The gunsmith told me to take a copper Brilo pad apart (not a stainless steel one) and wrap it around an old bore brush. Just working with the stuff a little bit, it is evedent this flated copper wire is sharper than the dickens. Just scrapes er out pretty as you please. I'm alway's a little leery of bore abrasion in my target rifle but it didn't appear to do anyting but clean the old gal up to as new. I was to the point of having one of the pro's boil er out with one of those electrolosis rod bore cleaners. Always to prefer to dig my own way out and I'd thought I might pass it along.
