Hello guys!!!!
I am currently using a pot from an old fridge freon container, it is made of cast iron and large enough to hold 40lbs of lead. I am looking for options on my burner, whether I should switch to electric or not. Which brand? What are the advantages of using an electric if its bottom pour? Where to get a good deal? Any option other than MIDWAY?
I am also planning to buy an ingot mould, which one to buy would you guys recommend?
Thanks for all your help

Your pots fine. Cornbread pans can be found cheap.

I new to casting and just bought a Lee Precision 4-20 (http://www.bosesguns.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=932) and the Lee Ingot Molds (http://www.bosesguns.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=751)from Bose's Guns.

I think these people offer the best prices on Lee equipment available. They do not list molds on their web site but I believe they carry them.

Hey Ranchdog,
Thanks for the advise, how many do you make in an hour? What is the number on that store you got it from and how much?

Ranuel... The blue text in my reply had web page links embedded for the items mentioned.

So far, I haven't thought much about the speed of the operation but with the bottom pour pot it moves pretty quick. I suspect that there is a 45 second cycle using a two cavity mold. Let's see, that would be a 100 bullets in 1:15... It's faster than that.
