QUOTE from article:
"Some said same-sex couples might leave Ohio and that businesses will be hurt if they do while others said they believe nothing like that would happen."
Which businesses would be hurt? I can think of no businesses that cater to the homosexual lifestyle other than gay bars.
Somebody enlighten me.

I would assume they mean that there are a number of talented personnel working in various businesses that would leave......such as the problem the Army has with finding linguists.

Do you mean hair stylists and interior decorators? Are Army linguists homosexuals? Maybe I'm missing the point.

It appears that you think "talented homosexuals" are either hair stylists and interior decorators? They are also programmers, engineers, machinists, as well as business owners of "straight" companies. The smartest physics professor I had was a homosexual.
The media has reported that the Army has had problems recruiting sufficient translators with the restrictions on homosexual enlistment. I don't know if that means languages are attractive to homosexuals, or if they are more adept at languages, etc. Just was indicating that homosexuals have varied talents that affect business....and the affected business are not just hair saloons, interior decorators and gay bars.

There's the reason they are not joining the Army.....all of those jobs pay better than the military. It ain't "don't ask; don't tell", it's simple economics.

You may well be correct. Was you conclusion based on personal opinion or a source such as surveys, media articles, etc.? If other than personal opinion, please list the information sources that supports your assertion the media reports of the cause for interpreter loss were incorrect.

I put very little stock in media reports .....especially when it concerns liberal causes. It is my personal opinion fueled by a little common sense.

Sir,
Appreciate your polite responses and wish you well.
