WooHoo! Found a NEW 1894CP! Thanks to Carwi for getting me interested in one. Makes a great companion for my Ruger GP100. Will have to be careful not to neglect my 1895GS. Going to be hard for awhile. :D

LoveMyMarlin,
I am tickled you found that 1894CP! You can't find one around here anymore including Charlotte. Once you get it broke in it'll quickly become one of your favorites! Let us know how she shoots! I actually prefer my CP over the C model. I can't believe how 2" off the length can make a rifle so much easier to get thru the thickets but it does make a difference. I think you'll be shooting that thing a lot!!
You done good! My matching pair is a 1894C and Ruger Blackhawk. Giddy up cowboy!

I've been looking for one for a little while. Just happened to find one (brand new) at a local "mom and pop" gunshop. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but can tell already this is going to be my favorite rifle! Have to be careful not to neglect my 1895GS though. :D
Carwi will probably be picking your brain on favorite handloads. Have some Buffalo Bore ammo on the way I was going to play with in my Ruger GP100. Can't wait to try them in this baby also. This is one sweet handling rifle!
Will give a report when I get a chance to spend some time at the range with it.
Coyotes better beware! :D
Glad all of (most of) the Marlin Talk folks are making it over here.

I too am looking for a 1894cp as a companion to my Ruger GP100. I've just started looking and I can't find any listed on gunbroker.com and the Marlin webpage no longer lists the 1894cp in their current stock (although they do have a descpription webpage for it under their 2002 catalog).
Is the 1894cp still available? Is it still being manufactured and just out of stock?
I appreciate any info.

Marlin only made them 2 years. 2001 and 2002. They still make the 1894C. I found mine in a "mom and pop" gunshop. New on the shelf from 2002. I'll bet there is one out there somewhere for you. I would suggest checking around some of the "mom and pop" shops around your area.
