After emptying my Marlin 39A yesterday, following the final afternoon of the Pennsylvania squirrel season, I stood there looking at the dozen sub-sonic hollow points in my hand, and the little box they came in, and it occurred to me that putting them back in the little box like cord wood after the ones in the box had settled into a brass and lead conglomerate, wasn't very appealing. I thought that someone must have a better idea of what to do with .22 ammunition after you upset the origional arrangement.
My less than efficient solution is to dump the remaining bullets into an empty Tang container, mark it with a magic marker, and hope I can re-locate it the next time I'm going out to shoot.
Does someone have an efficient solution to containing .22 ammunition after the original box has been opened that is more efficient than having them shuffling around in your hunting vest? I would appreciate some brilliant ideas!
Thanks! The 1776 Patriot, an old fart who still enjoys a good squirrel stew.
