I have no first-hand experience with Ciener or any of the other conversion kits. However, I've noticed several threads in which newbies ask whether to get a rimfire or a centerfire but nobody has mentioned the conversions. About all I know is what I read in a Rifleman article a few years ago that praised them as being extraordinarily accurate. It seems to me that it's an excellant idea to be able to plink and practice cheaply on the very same gun you use for CCW or home defence. Are they any good? If you have one, what do you most like or dislike about it?

The only problem is that if it is your CCW or home defense gun a .22 is obviously not the same round. You are going to wanna make sure you are comfortable with the big bore because practice with .22's is completely different.
