It's 15Y youth bolt-model where the loading port for the shell is just BARELY large enough to drop one in. Also, the stock is smooth, uncheckered. It was side-by-side with a new one with a normal size port, and pressed checkering in the wood.

Are there any numbers or letters on the barrel???

I found out it's an '88, based on the serial number codes. I'd still like to know when they eliminated the tiny port in favor of the normal-sized one on today's model.
