We have about 10 registered matches in Tex. this year. We shoot in Denton, Tomball, Seymour, Midland, and New Braunfels. I will also do Phoenix, Arizona the first of April, North Lawrence Ohio for the Super Shoot on Labor Day week, the Nationals in Kansas City at the last of the season. I shoot a 6ppc as do 99% of all our shooters. The rest mainly shoot the .100 short 22 ppc. I have 2 BAT model DS actions with left loading port. right ejecting port, and right bolt. My stocks are made by myself and my friend Al Flores. My 10.5# gun is a carbon fiber laminated redwood stock that weighs 23.5 oz. and allows me to use a heavy barrel and a 45X Leupold stock. We only use Jewell 1.5 oz. triggers. I normally use Shilen barrels, but have a Kreiger coming. My 13.5 gun will have a laminated walnut stock with the same components. I shoot a 66 gr. bullet at about 3450fps.Wood stocks are coming back in favor with the advent of carbon fiber laminates. Wood absorbs the vibrations better than the synthetic stocks and you don't have the movement in wood as we had in the past. Some people are using balsa wood stocks with carbon fiber skins. Butch
