Hi all, I am a newbie to this forum and to firearms in general, though I have handled firearms but not in over 20+ years.
Hoping this forum will help me get re-aquainted. Recently my good friendsent me a gift of a Beretta 92FS (9mm) Centurion. I have been getting familiar with it (field stripping, cleaning, loading) and I am hoping to get some instruction and range time. Other than that my plan is to use the firearm for home defense. I also have questions about registration etc of the gun. I live in Illinois, Cook county (tough gun laws), do I need to register with the local police? I do have a current FOID card. Thanks mack
