Were the 94 Winchesters made throughout the years of World War II? I have gone to some dating websites and some date my Winnie at 1942 and others say that Winnies weren't made during the course of the war. Any info on this matter?

Believe some were made in 1942...at least the first part of that year. Everyone got into war production poretty quickly after Pearl Harbor.
------
Checked a few list...not finding listings from 1943-1948...so I guess we still had our heads more-or-less in the sand in '42.
Production figures for 1943-1948 are unknown, if there were any manufactured. As ribbonstone stated, most all manufactures switched production to the war effort.
Wouldn't be surprised if 42's (94's and other stuff) were assembled from parts while the lines were being changed over to M-1's, etc.

The serial # is 1490XXX if this helps.
1942 started with serial # 1,287,469 and there were 29,981 produced, that would take you to serial 1,317,450.
1949 started with serial # 1,500,001. Just a guess on my part, but I tend to think it would be from early start up after the war. The receiver could have been stamped with it's serial number anytime during the war years, but who knows how long those parts sat in a parts-bin?
Something you might try, pull the forearm stock off and where the barrel screws into the receiver there will be a flat on the bottom of the barrel, that should have the barrel date. Chances are good the gun was not assembled before this date. As an example, say your barrel has a '42 date, it may have been assembled later than 1942, but not before.
