Hello all! I Just found a 1958 model 94 in mint condition. The gun has only been fired 35 times. It's asking price is $425.00 Canadian. This gun is at least 98 out of 100. What would be a fair price for this gun. Being that it is a pre 64, should I pay the asking price and be done with it?

Wholesale Sports of Calgary wants $590 for a new one. That's the Traditional with the walnut stock. The problem now is that the dealers are still sitting on stock they bought with 62 cent Loonies even if it's at 76 cents now. If it's minty-mint I'd be tempted.
Bye

Thanks anyway Jack ! I was looking at pre 1964 models only. I can buy new almost anywhere?
What is $425.00 Canadian, in U.S. greenbacks?

Thanks DLS, Ive looked at the gun and it's mint. You can tell it's older but has no wear on the gun .
I have alway loved lever guns and have a few . Looking to buy more. I bought a 45-70 Guide gun las year as well as a model 94 XTR 375 win. I would like to find the 30-30 to match but may run out on monday and purchase the pre 64 . Thanks for getting back.

Thats the price you'll find on most 70-75% percent guns just about any where! If the gun is original finish it is the deal of deals . Just be weary of a "faked " mint (i.e. refinished ) have someone in the know if possible evaluate.

I know the gun has not been refinished. I have been buying guns for years ! I'm just not that familiar with some of the winchester pre 64 model 94 prices. I thought that it may be a good deal but was not sure. This gun is like 98% . Buying it on monday. Thanks for all your input. I lived in Colorado for 5 years and I can honestly tell you, I can buy guns cheaper in Canada. I think gun prices here in Ontario Canada may be driven down by all the registration B.S.

Wow what a find! keep your eye out for 50's and 60's Remington stuff . Give a hoot and I'll paddle a canoe across lake Erie for prices like that ,If those Canucks are gonna give the stuff away.

Harry Snippe,
I found the 1958 model 94 in a little gun store close to home, I stop in 2 or 3 time a week to have a peek on the shelves. Every now and then, I find a steal. I may buy two guns on teusday. The store is closed Sunday and Monday. I love the older lever action guns. Although 1958 is not that old . I even like the odd new one.
