Any word on the new line of scopes from Smith & Wesson? Since the pricing is "middle-of-the-road" I am assuming that performance is the same.

Throughout the years , just about anybody who has the means to , can travel over seas to one of the major optics companies and have their own line of "branded scopes" manufactured for them. I haven't really come across any of them that offer anything above and beyond anything that is already on the market. These are usually the same scope that if you saw it on the shelf marketed under the parent companies name you wouldn't give it the time of day,but slap a major gun manufacturers sticker on one of the turrets and suddenly were interested(?). I dunno, maybe just a peeve of mine but I don't see the point of buying Remington hunting boots , Browning flashlights,or a Beretta knife made in China. **** the way I figure it if I'm buying their guns anything else with their name emblazend on it is more advertising for them financed by me. I know I'm starting to ramble so I'll go now . The point is we have probably been buying "Smith & Wesson" scopes for years, we just didn't know it.
