I recently picked on up at a gunshow for 350$ tax included, decent buy? It appears to be in excellent shape, very minor scratches and minimal fade on the bluing. He said it was made in 1977.
Any good or bad experiences with this little wheelgun?
What kind of accuracy should I expect?

Yes, you did fine. It should be sub-2" at the 25yd. all day long if you do your part. It's preferred ammo should get you nearer an inch. ;)

chopchop,
You should have a good experience with your Mdl. 18. I bought one new back in the '70's to compliment my Mdl. 15 .38 Spec. Both had 4" barrels.
Mine always shot just fine. I was young and stupid(-er) then and traded it off. I don't even remember what I thought was so wonderful that I needed to part with it. Maybe that was my whirlwind romance with a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag. That is long gone too, but no regrets.
Oh, well. Nice pistol. I still have the Mdl. 15 and wish the Mdl. 18 was still mine also.

I took it out today and shot it. IT'S FANTASTIC!!
Way more accurate than I am, I must admit. Just seemed to get better when I asked more out of it.
Maybe it's just because it's my most recent purchase but I am enamored.
