Is it possible to rechamber a Raging Bull to .357 Magnum? or possibly .357 Maximum?

Why , when you can buy a .357 magnum Taurus Tracker? By the time you have a custom made cylinder machined and a rebarrel job , heck you could probably buy two or three of them .

why? my grandfather was given one from a friend of his. its chambered in .480 ruger and it wouldn't be bad other then the barrel is like, totally destroyed, no clue how he destoyed the inside of the barrel but he did. other reason is quote "i have 7 .44s and 3 .454's, i dont need nor want a .480. but i would like an other .357, i only have one..." We talked about it and we both agree a .357 Magnum, 8 shots, and either a 5" or 10" barrel would very nice. any idea the cost involved?

Have the gun rebarreled by taurus ( heck test the limits of their lifetime warranty policies, whine enough and they may do it for free) , in any case when you get the .480 back SELL IT! take whatever you get for it and buy a S&W 8shot .357 , If you don't have enough money ,put one on lay-a-way. You'll surely pay it off long before you ever figure a way to engineer a 8 shot cylinder from scratch for the taurus and the money involved wouldn't hardly be worth the end result.
