A vote in the Senate may be nearing on the Clinton Assault Gun Ban reauthorization - OR EXPANSION! You may even lose the right to own a Browning A5 shotgun!

Our gun freedoms need your support in this fight.

Time to tell ALL the interested parties supposedly on our side and tell them what you will do on Election Day if this bill is reauthorized.

I've decided that the only thing that really gets politicians moving is fear of loosing and election.
So I've emailed my local, state, and national Republican Party chairmen, and the House Speaker and Majority Whip, and Senate Majority Leader and Whip, plus all the Republican conference and committee chairs, and President Bush.

A good website to get all but the local and state party adresses is :
www.capwiz.com/nra/home/

It'll insert your address, name, etc. automatically, the only peculiarity being you've got to change the state address from that of the congressman your writing to yours.

The text of my message is as follows:

"Dear _________,

I have voted straight Republican for years, but if the Assault Gun Ban is reauthorized I, my family, and most of my friends will stay home on election day and not vote.
That bill was an assault on the common sense and decency of every gun owner, a useless and purely symbolic law against guns that has completely failed to do anything except alienate us."

I am also sending hard copy letters to the state and local officials and my representative. Thanks to the anthrax scare its hard to get through to the Senate or White House that way. Likewise all letters from politicans asking for contributions are going back with a statement that my contributions will be dependent on killing the gun ban.

GET OFF YOUR REAR AND ACT NOW OR YOU'LL BE RANTING ABOUT THIS FOR YEARS!

Done. That was easy, but hopefully effective.
