Just wanted to say hello to all of you fellow hunters or gun enthusiast out there. I am a born and raised Kansan and just began hunting three years ago. Since then it has been less of a hobby and more of an obsession. If you have any advice for a good shooter but novice hunter feel free to send it my way.

If you're a married guy, take good care of your wife during the off season so you can take advantage of the full hunting season guilt free. Trust me on this one!

Better still, Take her with you. My wife doesn't hunt, but she likes to stay in camp while the rest of us are out in the field. She reads, sews, Knits, and has dinner ready when we get back to camp. (BIG BONUS)

My wife's idea of camping out is the nearest Hampton Inn and a sit-down dining area with a good wine selection.

Sounds like my Daughter-in law, she thinks we have too many trees in Arkansas, My son can't get her into the woods, so he leaves her at home and comes hunting with us, should have the Grandson with us next year, I just finished his 7X57 last week. (Birthday next month!)

Well, I try to get out a lot and hunt small game on the Upland, Deer and Turkey off seasons. There are acres of WIHA and state hunting areas to shoot on in Kansas. I do not have a wife, but my girlfriend is a big fan of me hunting (because her father is a hunter), I will keep in mind to treat her extra well on the off-season, especially the week prior to opening day. Thanks for all of your replies, hope to hear more.

As a moderator i'm sure that you know more about this forum than i do. I read the disclaimer when i registered, but was wondering if there were any restrictions or site info that i might need to know. I do plan on being courteous and tactfull, so that is not an issue.
