I recently had some trouble with my 1950s era Marlin 39A. As it turns out, the trouble was actually me but it took me a while to figure that out. In the meantime I received some excellent help from Doc Sharptail of this forum and from Tom Morgan of Morgans Gun Shop in Ohio. Mr. Morgan was kind enough to mail me a part--after just a phone call. He didn't even ask me for my phone number, just an address and the part was in the mail. "Send me what you think it's worth if it works" was all he asked.
The part wasn't needed after all, though I sent him some cash when I returned the part just for his generosity and time.
This kind of customer service is way above the call of duty, in my opinion, and with Mr. Morgan's permission I am posting his URL here:

He specializes in hard-to-find and obsolete parts.
