Hi ALl,

I've got a couple of .41s
a Dan Wesson blued (w/ 6" and 8" barrels)
and a S&W 657

Am interetested in loading and/or purchasing

snake shot
and
safety slugs.

The safety slugs don't seem to be available for 41 mag,
ditto for snake shot.

Any leads appreciated,
I've got a Dillon press so can do my own loads for this if needed.

Never made another snake shotshells but either G&A or Shooting Times had a article years ago by Mike Venturio (sp) on making 41 shotshells. No longer have it but you might be able to do the research.

http://www.outdoorlife.com/outdoor/handgun/double.html (http://www.outdoorlife.com/outdoor/handgun/double.html) Article that has a little info on what is available for 41 mag usable as self defense.http://www.chuckhawks.com/ammo_by_anonymous.htm (http://www.chuckhawks.com/ammo_by_anonymous.htm) this is a very good article on defensive rounds to use and for the 41 mag states:

(This looked bad when I posted it so I have tried to clean it up)
41 Magnum The best defense choice for this hard-kicking caliber is the Winchester Silvertip 175 grain JHP (X41MSTHP2). The Remington 179 grain Semi-Jacketed Hollopoint (R41MG3) is also a good round.

Glaser safety rounds. You are correct they do not list anything for the 41 Mag.
