Hello all

Just registered and thought I'd introduce myself.
Currently live in Vermont, praying the guns laws don't change here,
don't think they will. Too many people would freak out.

Generally work with computers, Unix, servers and data center design and implementation etc. Unfortunately all the jobs are going to India, no jobs for geeks in Vermont. Thank god Dean faultered, or the whole country could have enjoyed a similar economy as Vermont, average *available* job
pays between $7 and $10, average house cost $250,000 and absurd
commute if you do happen to find a job. enough of that :)

Recently I've been reviving my childhood love of shooting having grown up on a farm. My collection so far is at 4:

Kimber Eclipse Custom II .45 ACP
Glock 20 10mm
H&K G3 .308
Armalite AR-10a2 with stainless match barrel

In the near future I plan to grab ahold of:

A nice long range in .338 Lapua

A nice revolver, I have been looking back and forth between
Gary Reeder's custom guns, and Freedom Arms.

Also vasilating between rounds fired from the revolver. I guess I go about things backwards maybe, I tend to figure out what round interests me, then look for something nice to fire it with :) Probably not backwards :)

As for caliber of the revolver, still mulling it over. Would like to get a big bore, don't mind recoil at all. So I've been eyeing up the following rounds:

.454 Casull
.475 Linebaugh
.500 S&W
.510 GNR

Very curious how they all relate to each other, comments ?

I don't recall if I got this from this forum or not, but I'm sure those who
haven't seen it should get a chuckle out of it:

Welcome to the board, Rednoise -

Sounds like you enjoy hearing things go boom!

That .600 Nitro at 14,000 Euros is a little rich for my pocketbook.

rednoise...sounds like no complaints :) how about the finish? Is it hard to take care of? I've never actually seen an Eclipse, just checked it out on kimber's web site...the finish looks like it might be a pain? beautiful, yet high maintenance like some women :)

Hmm... finish seems fine, not sure how you mean I guess. Finger prints do stick out and once I notice them I get
to wiping to make it nice and shiny again :) Does seem to be a litte wear from going in & out of it's holster, but I'm not a
babier so not too worried about it
