Back in the 50'sI bought a .218 Bee that had a Weaver J4 scope on it. The J4 had a fine crosshair and a minute and a half dot reticle in it.
The owner said the dot was added by a Fellow in West Virginia by the name of Bob Thompson.
I heard later that he had passed away and his son had continued in this line of work.
Does anybody have any info concerning this?
I put the J4 on a good .22 and the small dot was great for squirrel hunting !!

Thanks!
Ron

No knowledge of Bob Thompson, but if you want a dot reticle put in a scope, it can be done.
The T.K. Lee Company's been around for a long time, and putting dot and multi dot reticles in scopes is what they do.

They'll work on most any brand, and they do good work - I had them do a couple for me.
Premier Reticle can put dot reticles -and other custom reticles- in Leupold scopes, but I don't believe they work on other brands.

Thanks Jack,
Didn't know they were still in business after at least 50 years.

Jack,
I resurrected this old thread because I found out that Premier Reticles is owned by Bob Thompson's grandson! Bob's son ran it until recently when he turned it over to his son.
Three generations of work in this sure adds up to a lot of experience!
