I don't know much about any of these handguns but I am interested in a short barrelled Smith in .357. I noticed that the 386PD is much lighter and holds 1 more round. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Deuce,

I have no experencie with the 386 or the 60 in 357. What do you plan on doing with the revolver? I've owned several 4" M66/M19s, 3" M13/65s and 2" M60/M422 in 38spl. After firing +Ps in the J frames don't think I'll like the .357 versions. Love the 3" RB HB K frames for concealed carry and 4" 19/66 as a woods roaming gun. Also used to shot both in IPSC and great fun.

Truth be told, I don't know what i am planning on doing with the gun. Already have a Rossi 2" snubby and a Ruger Blkhawk with a long barell(that is my woods gun). Looking for something in between the two I already have. I just know those 386's are really light. Probably nasty with a hot magnum load. Been thinking about getting my first 1911 style 45. Maybe that is what I'll do instead. Thanks for the input.
