Dead Deer Walking

Ever been walking through the woods at night and had the sensation that something was following you? This picture is from Montana , where someone set out a motion sensor camera to see if any big bucks were passing in the area. It's a one in a million shot!

Well i hope iv never had one that close, thats a testament to mountain lion stealth.

And as you said a one in a million shot.

I guess thats why deer usually walk with the wind at there back.

I've seen that photo floating around. Chances are it's photoshopped, but who knows.

I know it's been on several forums in the past. Probably here but it has been around for a couple of years, at least.

Yeah just the other day, right after i saw it one here, it popped up on blacktailcountry forum, a lot of people said it was several years old and also said it was photoshopped, said they had seen other variations of the pic, such as the deer following the cat.

Saw it maybe 3 or 4 years ago, I think here or Marlin Owners. Someone back then knew the real skinny on it. It is photoshopped. Both pictures from the same camera, at different times; and then joined together. That's my memory of it.

It probably is a fake but a good one. But I have seen lion get within 15-20 feet of a deer. So they can be very sneaky when they want to be. Cool picture though.

How precisely do you think lions take game then? They don't have pickups or rifles, and I've literally gotten within striking distance from deer myself.
