Like the rest of you, I feel most for the families of the victims. Pay back not withstanding (and he richly deserves what ever he gets, even more so than your 'normal' headcase shooter) what I really want to know is : how the **** did he think going on a shooting spree was going to improve his situation? WTF????? As maybe, he swore to defend again all threats, foreign or domestic. Now it's time to pay the piper.

Im just a peckerwood that lives in the hills with too many guns There's going to be more shooting, more people are going to die. And then put it on Al-Jazeera! They don't fear death so we need to use something they do fear. Once they (terrorists) are dead, they no longer have control over their bodies and what happens to those bodies matters to them. If only our politicians had the kahoneys to use their weaknesses against them to prevent further terrorist acts!

Any family reading, your fallen are heroes just as if they were on duty accross the ocean.
Thanks to ALL who serve without planning such cowardice.

It was a **** good thing the cop that took him out was a firearms instructor.
I am assuming that she has had much extra practice. I kinda think that
the majority of law enforcement confronted with the opponent firing at
them in that exact situation would not have been the victor.
Luck was on her side as both keep shooting until one scores a hit
to a disabling area of the body. With both firing semi autos, I
bet the shootout didnt last more than two seconds.
Think about this also, they said he shot more than a hundred rounds and
earlier in this thread it was said he used 357 mag and the FN 5.7x28.
You know many complain about the lethality of the 9mm but this pistol
he obviously shot the large majority of his rounds with certainly proved
to be pretty lethal. Although maybe not since there were 30 wounded.
I heard someone say that round is essentially a 22 mag rimfire in performance.

IIRC correctly I believe the story is that she missed with her shots. Her partner was the one who hit him. Not hard to understand as she was shooting second from the accounts I heard. She was taking fire and hits before she could return fire. It tends to screw up your aiming. Her partner was able to fire while the hemorhoid was reloading.
