Can anyone give me a list of gunsmiths that can lengthen the throat on my 444 Outfitter.  I have seen that changing it by .1000" allows for longer COL.  Any in the East TN area would be nice.  OR can the throating be done by a novice by using throating reamers out of Brownell's catalog?

Sure thing! *Get in touch with David Clements to lengthen that throat in the .444. * He also does some other trick work on those Marlin Leverguns! * He's not that far out of your area either.
