Weaver scope repair

Greets,

I have recently dug up my fathers old Weaver scope. It is in need of repair. The only contact for the Weaver Scope Repair Service I could find was adress and phone number.

Does anyone know if they have a web page or a email contact? This would be more feasable for me with respect to the fact that I live in Europe?

Cheers
Karel

Baron,
I sent in a scope quite a few years ago to here:

Weaver Scope Repair Service

El Paso, Texas 79925
(915) 593-1005

Maybe that's what you already have, but that's all I have. Good luck.

I saw an old steel tube K6 in a shop on the weekend that had a chipped rear lense.
Would the Weaver service replace this sort of thing?
Would they have a service center here in Australia or somewhere nearby or would I be sending it to the US?

Here is what Weaver states in their Web site about their warranty. If you have older weaver scopes you need to talk to the fella Shawn gave the phone and address to.

Like many name brands this company has changed hands several times. ATK/Blount just sold Weaver, Simmons and Redfield to Meade Optics, which is a good company by the way.

Weaver Warranty

The majority of our products carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty, pursuant to which Weaver guarantees your product to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser. The exceptions to this Limited Lifetime Warranty are as follows: Weaver riflescopes manufactured before 1997, which are out of warranty (see section entitled “Weaver Riflescopes” below); and Weaver NightView products and Weaver ETX Spotting Scopes, which each carry a one-year limited warranty.

If covered by an applicable warranty, we will either repair or replace your product, at our option. The warranty is not valid in cases where the product has been abused or mishandled, where unauthorized repairs have been attempted or performed, or where depreciation of the product is due to normal wear-and-tear. Weaver products purchased outside North America are not included in this warranty, but are covered under separate warranties issued by Weaver's International Distributors. Please call your local International Distributor for details. We specifically disclaim special, indirect, or consequential damages or lost profits, which may result from a breach of this warranty. Any implied warranties which cannot be disclaimed are hereby limited to a term of one year from the date of original retail purchase. This warranty gives you specific rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state. Weaver reserves the right to change product specifications or to discontinue products without prior notice.

Weaver Riflescopes

If you have a Weaver riflescope that requires service or repair, please follow the following procedures:

(1) First, determine if your riflescope was manufactured before or after 1997.

Weaver riflescopes manufactured before 1997 have El Paso TX or USA stamped on the tube. Riflescopes manufactured during and after 1997 have Japan stamped on the tube, together with a five-digit model number beginning with the number “4” or a six-digit model number beginning with the number “8.”

It is important to determine whether your riflescope was manufactured before or after 1997 because only riflescopes manufactured during or after 1997are entitled to warranty coverage.

(2) If your riflescope was manufactured during or after 1997, please call our Customer Service Representative at (800) 285-0689.

If your riflescope was manufactured during or after 1997, please be prepared to give the Customer Service Representative the code number found on the riflescope and you will be given instructions on how to send your product in for repair.

(3) If your product was manufactured before 1997, please call our Customer Service Representative at (800) 285-0689 to learn more on how to obtain non-warranty repair for your riflescope.

Frank and his crew are great. After inspecting a scope they will give an analysis of the needed repairs, the cost of those repairs, and estimated turn around time. The turn around time doesn't start until the customer okays the work and cost. I have had one scope rebuilt and was very satisfied. Return date was as predicted.

An old post that seems to be resurrected. My 2 cents worth, I have had two scopes repaired and rebuilt by Weaver Scope Repair, and I was satisfied with both jobs. I got a quick quote on necessary work and the scope was returned within the time promised. Both work great.
