After reading forum topics on calipers and micrometers I decided it was time to upgrade from my plastic caliper. I took the recommendation posted on the shooters forum for the 'best buy' at Harbor Freight. The price WAS good (however, I have a small mail-order business and I was a bit surprised by their &#365 shipping PLUS &#366 handling for a one pound pre-packaged item).  In their internet catalog I didn't see any mention of USA Made or Chinese Made, but I guess I should have known. Yep, Chinese made. The price is great and the tools work fine, but I have a strong opinion about buying from a country that is currently our enemy and I believe is using business profits to load munitions that might aggressively kill fellow Americans (including my sons.)  For that reason, I consistently pay more for non-Chinese goods on purpose. I wish I had a heads-up before buying. Yes, I know, I should have figured to ask, due to the huge savings.  I will be more alert next time.
